Action: Somali president denounces ransoms

Somali President Sheikh Shariff Ahmed denounced ransoms paid to pirates in a press conference today. He called them "destabilizing". “The solution is not deploying hundreds of war ships on the surface of the Somali waters, but to boost the institutions of the Somali government” he said.
